The SportDOG NoBark SBC-10R Collar uses several features designed to shorten the training phase and promote good behavior:
• A patented sensor system provides the most reliable bark detection available. The unit delivers a static correction via the contact points only if it detects BOTH vibration from the vocal cords AND the sound of the bark.
• Three user-selectable modes allow you to choose how corrections are delivered:
1. The patent pending Temperament Learning (indicated by green light) mode tracks the number of corrections needed to substantially reduce (and in most cases eliminate) the number of nuisance barks. The system provides 10 levels of static correction. It begins with a low-level correction (Level 0). However, if excessive barking continues, the correction intensity will increase with each successive bark until the barking stops. This correction level becomes the starting level the next time the dog barks. Once the dog has learned to reduce the barking, the initial warning corrections are reduced.
2. In Progressive Correction mode (indicated by blue/green light), the correction starts at the lowest level and progresses to the next level (to a maximum of Level 9) each time your dog barks within 30 seconds of the previous bark. If your dog does not bark again within 30 seconds, the correction will be reset to the lowest level (Level 0).
3. In the User-Selected Correction mode (indicated by blue light), the user presets the correction level (0-9) that will be used every time the dog barks.
Note: As a built-in safety feature, if your dog barks 15 times or more within a 30 second period, the NoBark 10R will automatically shut off for 3 minutes. This safety feature is active in all three modes of operation.

collar worked wonders I have a large great dane that constantly barked and carried on when we had visitors over and as soon as i put the collar on him he was a completelry different dog he no longer barks and the collar has actually settled him . I was reluctant to use a static collar but after the citronella collar didn't work (he would ignore it) and we got a letter from the council about his barking we had to do something. This collar works very well very quickly and I am happy we did it.Price Value Quality Customer Service
The different program options are the highlight and allows for individualised approach to your dog's specific barking habits. Very well made and the safety of the override when they don't stop barking (if there is an intruder etc) is very good because we still want him to protect/guard the house when we are not home. I had some complaints about my dog yapping all day while we were out. We tried a few different strategies but to no avail. As what I thought was a last resort, I went to the SBC-10. I was feeling very guilty thinking that I was going to be traumatising my dog with it, but after seeing it in action, I wish I got one years ago! I have it on the setting that allows her to bark a couple of times and then works up to stronger pulses until it makes her stop. At first it scared her a little but now she just doesn't let it go that far and won't go into yap mode. She actually gets excited when I put it on her in the morning! No trauma at all. She doesn't yap, I don't yell at her for yapping, and we have never been better friends!!! Oh, and we recieved it in two days from ordering which is great service, thank you. Purchased this product for golden ret., 1 year old male dog, who constantly barked at his own shadow, neighbours, birds, when he was home alone etc etc. Within first 24 hours the dog is a different dog. 100% satisfied with this product.
