Petsafe PBC-1000 is an indoor collarless bark control unit, that is automatic or manually activated. This device uses ultrasonic sound waves to reduce nuisance barking.
When the Indoor Bark Control unit is within range of a barking dog, an internal microphone picks up the sound. The unit automatically emits an ultrasonic tone that can be heard by dogs but is silent to humans.
Startled by the high-pitched tone, the dog should stop barking. In time it will associate its bark with this unpleasant noise. When the dog stops barking, the ultrasonic tone also stops.
It is effective up to 25 feet and on all types of dogs.
You may also use the Indoor Bark Control unit as a remote trainer. When your pet exhibits inappropriate behavior, press the manual control button on top of the unit to emit an ultrasonic tone. The dog should be startled by the high-pitched tone and stop his poor behavior.

“We live on 5 acres as do our neighbours and we are all used to the peace and quiet of acerage living. Well that was until we had a litter of 10 Dobermans 12 months ago and decided to keep two of the pups. As you can imagine their bark is quite loud at the best of times but more so when they are in pens during the night and bark because they are confined.
We were up every hour during the night to quiet them and resorted to muzzling them so our poor neighbours could sleep. My husband who has a very early start for work each day (3.30am) was beside himself and we were discussing finding new homes for our beloved pets.
