Nuheart

Nuheart is a monthly-administered oral pet remedy for the control and prevention of heartworm disease in dogs. Nuheart eliminates heartworm larvae during the month prior to its use. Heartworm is common in dogs since birth and is also spread by mosquitoes. It can lead to death when left unchecked. Protect your dog with a monthly-dose of Nuheart.

> Nuheart chewables are administered orally once a month.

> The regular dose administered is one (1) tablet taken from a pack that suits the weight of your dog. Be sure to choose a Nuheart pack that matches your dog's weight.

> Safe to use in dogs as young as six (6) weeks.

Contraindications/Warnings

> Nuheart (Ivermectin) should not be administered to animals known to be allergic to it.

> Do not administer to dogs younger than six (6) weeks.

> Heartworm testing is recommended before Nuheart therapy is started.

> If your pet has been off Nuheart for six (6) months or less, you can administer the tablets and perform the Heartworm test after six (6) months. This is because microfilaria takes six (6) months to mature, and may show up positive in the test result.

> When administered at the label-recommended dosage, side effects from taking Nuheart are very rare, as it has a wide margin of safety for all breeds and sizes of dogs.

> In clinical trials, dogs with high circulating microfilaria have shown transient diarrhea.

> Consult your vet before administering to dogs already under medication.

> Store in a cool, dry area inaccessible to children, away from human and animal foods and drinks.

> Efficient monthly protection from heartworms.
> Safe for dogs of any size and breed; and for breeding, pregnant, or stud dogs.
> Meat-flavored tablets for easier feeding.
> Each tablet contains the same amount of active ingredients. Tablets can be broken into small pieces for dogs that swallow treats whole.
> Tablets can be dissolved in small amounts of water, or ground into fine powder, to be mixed into the dog's food.
