We bought this product to keep one of our Border Collies in the yard when there are thunder storms. It works very successfully and now instead of her heading over the fence at the first remote sound of thunder, she heads under the house where we know she is safe from cars, trains and people who think she's lovely and want to keep her. The product is easy to install and although a little time consuming when you put wire around 3 acres, it does the trick. Training our dog was also easy, she only took 2 small pulses and she had it figured. Overall, we received the product within 4 days, had it set up in 2 and tested it out in the first thunder storm within a week. We can stop worrying now every time a storm is forecast.

The dogs learnt very quickly and their demeanor changed for a couple of days. They play rough but keep well clear of the containment sensor.

Just finished setting the barrier up yesterday & I have already recommended this product to a lady whose dog continually breaks out of her yard.
I purchased this product to stop my 17 week old baby (puppy) from getting into the gardens & digging under the fences. LOVE IT- Its sends a warning signal then a little zap (or something) if they continue. He did a little break dance when he went on the garden & has not been on the garden since. I also had him come out the front with me to put some rubbish in the bins! He ran across the line once, stopped straight away & came back….I took him back in the yard, then came back out- which he followed me very closely & when I told him to sit & stay he did so immediately. Then again he stopped when I told him too also. He quickly learnt not to rush out. I know its early stages to comment BUT I am very confident this product will be my life saver & my pups also.

No fuss ordering and fast delivery. Got it just in time as our fence got blown over. Our dog has learnt very quickly (even for an old habiutal digger) and have the system off most of the time now. Fence that keeps a dobermann in - CHECK. Keeping a staffordshire terrior in the same yard - NOT A CHANCE. This was the last chance for our newest canine family member. Too dangerous to have her wandering wherever she liked, but impossible to keep her in.

Installed this basic Innotek and suddenly we don't have a problem. It's only been a few days, but after a couple of zaps she doesn't want anything to do with the areas protected by the electric fence. And she's already learning to back off when she hears the beeps, thereby expanding how adventurous she can be without any stinging rebukes.

Took about half a day to install this in a large yard around my house. And that much time again to choose a solution and plan the installation. I'm glad I had someone with me who was comfortable hooking up electricals - that was a bit daunting for me.

My only feedback on product selection is that this basic system doesn't enable you to control the strength of the zap. I'd like to be starting with a lower zap for my 7 month old medium size dog. But she's fine. I guess that's what is meant by the expression 'tough love'. (Posted on 18 July 2011)
