I am very happy with my Staywell 600 dog door, previously I had a plastic door which does not compare to this door at all. Received very good and prompt service. I installed door on the weekend and our dog is very confident in using the door. I have a boisterous dobermann and would not hesitate in recommending Ace Dog Supplies and the Staywell 600 dog door.

The Aluminum frame tends to add strength to the hole you put in the door - so from that point of view its better than a plastic frame. One of our dogs prefers not to use it to go out at night and has taken to wetting the floor next to the door which always used to be left open for her!! A little bit of training reqd I think - she is rather stubborn when it comes to those sorts of things. On the other hand if you put her food outside it she will run through it in a jiffy. The only thing I would say is the height is critical. If it is not high enough the dogs have to crouch down and bend their back legs / backs downwards which they would not like. bryan h (Posted on 15/04/10)
